Cast Nylons Limited offers a special process which saves significant amount of raw material for custom parts. With our NYCAST Near Net Shape Castings process we are able to minimize cost for serial parts or custom shapes. In the anionic polymerization process the liquid raw material is poured into a mold and takes it shape due to the low viscosity of the material (water thin) In a few minutes the material polymerizes and hardens. The part can be taken out of the mold and has its preformed shape. The following machining of the part is now minimal. This process is more cost effective than machining cast nylon from stock shapes or molding parts from other materials.
